About AOAA
Property Conservation
The majority of the property the AOAA now leases/owns was mined in the 1950s and was not reclaimed until recently. While the land sat vacant for decades, it was used by many as a dumping ground. Since securing lease/ownership rights to the property, we have partnered with a variety of organizations to make the property safe and clean.
AOAA Authority
The Northumberland County Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area (AOAA) Authority was formed in January of 2013 to address the issue of illegal riders on the 7,500 acres of county-owner forest and coal lands by providing a safe, regulated riding area – a better experience for everyone.

Facility Rental
AOAA offers rental space in its newly constructed event building. The structure is 100' x 40', with four stalls each measuring 15' x 20'. Each stall has hot and cold running water and are also lockable.
The event building can have seating for 100 guests.
